Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, Health Ministry spokesperson confirmed 1,459 new cases from 10,375 RT-PCR (Real-time – Polymerase Chain Reaction) tests performed in the past 24 hours, taking the national tally to 56,788.
Nepal on Tuesday recorded 11 new COVID-19 related deaths, as total deaths reached 371. There were also 1,062 COVID recovered cases, as the total recovery reached 40,638 which is 71.5% of the total confirmed case.
MOHP confirmed a 34-year-old, 96-year old, 66-a year-old male and a 86-year-old female from Kathmandu, a 64-year-old male from Sarlahi, a 35-year-old female from Siraha, a 55-year-old female from Bara, a 64-year-old female from Rupandehi, and a 58-year-old male from Kapilvastu died from COVID related condition.
The Ministry of Health and Population said 8,61,780 PCR tests have been performed in the country so far and 40,638 or 71.5 percent, individuals have made successful recoveries after being diagnosed with Covid-19.
Solukhumbu, Myagdi, Mustang, Humla, Dolpa, and Mugu are the districts with zero COVID-19 active cases.
