Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, Health Ministry spokesperson confirmed 1,170 new cases from 10,878 RT-PCR (Real-time – Polymerase Chain Reaction) tests performed in the past 24 hours, taking the national tally to 55,329.
Nepal on Wednesday recorded 15 new COVID-19 related deaths, as total deaths reached 360. There were also 879 COVID recovered cases, as the total recovery reached 39,576 which is 71.5% of the total confirmed case.
MOHP confirmed a 77-year-old, 62-year old, 73-year-old, 85-year-old, 70-year-old male and a 61-year-old from Kathmandu, a 40-year-old, 70-year-old male from Morang, a 55-year-old male from Lalitpur, a 73-year-old male from Bhaktapur, a 23-year-old male from Ramechap, a 63-year-old female from Gorkha, a 62-year-old female from Nawalparasi, a 55-year-old female from Parsa and a 47-year-old female from Kapilvastu died from COVID related condition.
The Ministry of Health and Population said 8,21,405 PCR tests have been performed in the country so far and 39,576 or 71.5 percent, individuals have made successful recoveries after being diagnosed with Covid-19.
Solukhumbu, Myagdi, Mustang, Manag, Humla, Dolpa, and Mugu are the districts with zero COVID-19 active cases.
